What's The Worst That Could Happen?

Lately I've had an unusual number of last minute calls where a DJ has let someone down. I've even taken calls on the same day of their event! This is not a blog post about whether I took the bookings or not, but rather why this seems to happen.

Answer: YOU'VE HIRED A CHEAP DJ

This seems to be the common denominator in all of the calls I have taken. The lower the price you have paid, the more chance there is of this happening! Why skimp out on probably the most important aspect of your party / event??

What's The Worst That Can Happen If: Dance floor doesn't turn up - It's ok, people can dance on carpet!

Caterer doesn't turn up - Quick call to any Pizza establishment will sort it!

Photobooth doesn't turn up - Everyone has a camera on their phone these days!

Sax player doesn't turn up - Not really even an issue!

Magician doesn't turn up - Ditto

DJ doesn't turn up - No music, no atmosphere, party doesn't even get started, people go home....
