We’ve tried to answer the most popular questions, but if there’s something we missed, let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

Q: Why hire Total Party Solutions for my event / party?
A: Firstly we are a  professional DJ company and as a DJ I have over 30 years experience. All our equipment is the latest 'Pro' grade, and has been tested for safety (PAT). We also carry full Public Liability Insurance of £10million (which is a must for most venues). For every booking we provide a contract which will cover both ourselves and you the client should any issues arise. We carry back up equipment in case of any equipment failure, as long as we have power there will be music! We are reliable, professional and will play the music you want to hear.

 

Q: What type of DJ are you?

A: I like to keep the dancefloor as packed as possible and keep the banter to a minimum, but will make any announcements on the night as required. I like to mix, and try to keep the music flowing from genre to genre. I'm happy to take requests but also happy if you just trust me to keep the dancefloor moving. I don't mind playing some cheese if required however I'm definitely not a cheesy DJ and with me it's all about the music!  Sorry I'm not a children's entertainer as such, however I have DJ'd for the adults and children at children's parties.

 

Q: Why are you so cheap / expensive?
A: I believe in the phrase 'you get what you pay for' and with me I believe you are getting a bargain! There will be cheaper and most definitely more expensive, however I believe my bang for the buck cannot be beaten! I think I am priced just right in the market for what I offer, which is a happy client and their guests at the end of the night. A cheaper DJ will probably have inferior equipment and less knowledge / skills, cheaper definitely isn't better when picking your DJ!

Q: Do you provide other services or are you just a DJ?
A: We are primarily a DJ service, however we have many contacts that we have gained over the years so if you have an enquiry about another service (ie. Catering / Security / Venue Hire etc.) then please ask.

 

Q: Do you carry back-up equipment just in case something fails?

A: Yes! I guarantee that as long as there is electricity, then there will be music!

 

Q: What music do you play? Can I choose?
A: We can cover almost any genre, I encourage you to advise us what types of music you would like to have played at your event. You can do this by sending a list, or by making a playlist on any online music service (Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music etc.). Please remember though, a DJ is an artist and as such likes to have some control over his performance, otherwise you may as well just hire a jukebox! Our aim is to keep the dancefloor as full as possible and to make sure you and your guests have a fantastic time!

Q: What happens once I decide I want to book Total Party Solutions?

A: We will email / post out a contract to you for signing, this contains all our Terms and Conditions. We would also require a booking fee to secure your date. Following this we will contact you before your event to go through all the details and discuss the order of the night.

Q: Can you mix?
A: I was once a finalist in the DMC (Disco Mix Club) North West heats, so yes, most definitely!

Q: Do you do Karaoke?

A: No sorry!
